~*Recap*~

Well, life has been crazy the past couple of weeks! It's been amazingly fun, though. Let's see, first of all, I went to see the new Harry Potter movie. Everyone has asked me what I thought and my answer has been the same every time: they didn't include a lot of things that were in the book. Yes, I was disappointed with it, but it was a good movie. Had I not read the books, like many of my friends, I'm sure I would've thought that it was the best Harry Potter movie, but I'm sorry, I just cannot say it. I'm actually in the process of reading the 6th book for the 3rd time now, because the last time I read it was when it first came out about 576 years ago.
Summer is almost over. Where has it gone!? It doesn't seem like I have done very much, but as I look back I find that I have. Let's recap my summer:
-I took a road trip with Tanille and Brittany to California.
-I went to Missouri for a week and a half and visited the family
-I changed my major from flute performance to piano performance
-I am now single........
-I went hiking to a waterfall
-I played gatorball for the first time
-I went to 7 Peaks water park
-I went camping with Carlene, Steve, and Kaitlin
-I got a bike
-I made a lot of new friends
-I went to the temple for the first time in about 4 years
-I watched the Manti Pageant
-I bought a new flute

That's about everything I can think of right now. I'm sure there were a ton of other things that I did, but those were the highlights. I'd say that sums it up. Farewell until something else exciting happens.

Crazy Fun!

Wow have I had a crazy weekend! It started out on Thursday when me and Tanille went shopping for dresses for Meredith's bridal shower. That was hilarious. It was good to have some sister bonding time. We had tons of fun. We actually did shop for a fluffy dress, but we had no luck so we ended up walking into this "Unique Gifts" store and bought some kimonos. We went to another store and tried them on and Tanille ended up going back to the store to exchange sizes and while she was changing, I wandered around the store and found umbrellas and the wooden block shoes that geishas wear. How fun is that!? It was pretty funny. And we found little purses that matched our dresses. So then we went to random stores and got some chopsticks for our hair and a flower to attach to them and some white makeup for our faces and red lipstick. So we dressed up like geishas and went to the tea party (the bridal shower). It was so funny! We had a blast. After the bridal shower (which was my first one...), we went to Steve's birthday party. Saturday was pretty boring...but in the evening, I went to Mickell's dance recital. Oh geez. Talk about...torture. Sitting through the entire show was so hard. Me and Tanille were just laughing through the whole thing because it was just hilarious. Sunday was my second week in my new ward. I got called as the Relief Society pianist. I met 5 guys in sacrament meeting which was funny. After church I went to Carlene and Steve's for dinner. After that, I came back for ward prayer, at which I met a ton of people. After ward prayer, I was invited to a birthday party. That was a ton of fun! I met a thousand more people there. At the party, I got invited to an apartment for a movie...and there were about 15 people there. That was also fun, but I left right as the movie started because I went to hang out with Jason. Well, there was my rundown of the weekend. It was pretty fun and exciting!

California

California was awesome! I had lots of fun at Disneyland, Hollywood, and Carmen and Michael's house! Too bad it was really cold though. That stunk a lot. We didn't get to sit on the beach like we were hoping we could. Oh well!

Gah!

Well then. The past week has been a lot of jolly good fun. I'm loving life right now, trying to be as optimistic as I can...because, well...the end of the semester is near and I can see it in the distance! Only a week and a half left!!! And only 2 1/2 weeks until California!! I'm so excited. Anyway, enough about the future...let's talk about the past. Actually, I'm sitting here trying to figure out something exciting that's happened in the past week or so and I really can't think of much. Cheme' came to visit this weekend, so I spent some time at Carlene and Steve's house. That was fun. I told myself the other day that I would try not to be on the computer as much as I always am...because well, let's face it--I'm pretty much on here all day every day. So, I'm going to find things to do like start riding a bike or painting or reading or something. I like the painting idea. During the summer, I think that's what I'll do. That should be fun. I had my flute recital on Friday. I didn't do the best, but it was good. I'm just here trying to be happy before finals roll around.

This weekend was a lot of fun. It was our spring break. And yes, I did say that this WEEKEND was our spring break. How lame is that? Pretty lame. So, me and Tia went out on Friday night and took some weird pictures, Saturday I went to Salt Lake with Brittany and Tanille and we went to the Gateway (a huge shopping place) and we ate at the Cheesecake Factory (which was delicious!), then today Tia and I woke up to a 1/3 pan of brownies missing so we went on a brownie thief hunt. We still haven't figured out what happened to those. Today at church I had to give a talk. It was pretty funny. It was about preparing to go to the temple. Hmm...that was interesting. School is almost out!!! Only 3 more weeks!! Then to California!!!!! Woohoo!! I'm pretty excited for a vacation. I'm ready for school to be over and just be able to relax this summer! I'm still debating whether I should take a class over the summer...not sure yet. I haven't heard anything from Utah State yet. I think they forgot about me. Oh well.

The Past Week

Well, life has been quite enjoyable the past week. Last week I got to go to Las Vegas with the pep band. Playing at the basketball games was quite exciting, but everything else was very dull. I didn't know anybody, so I didn't have anyone to hang out...so, I didn't get to go anywhere. I sat in the hotel every day for about 4 hours because I had nothing to do. It was pretty lame. Monday night was the ward talent show. Oh geez. That was pretty fun. I played Toccata...just like always. Lame, I know. Oh well. Tia did her bar stool act again. That was pretty funny. On Tuesday, I went and hiked the Y! That was so much fun! I had a blast. It was an amazing view. That was the first time I'd hiked a mountain in about 3 years! I loved it. I'll have to do it again once my legs aren't sore anymore. Also on Tuesday, we had a work party--my first one! That was a lot of fun, too. I love my job! Even though I do fall asleep sometimes, it's so much fun! Today was a pretty exciting day! My one class got canceled so I got to come home at noon. That was a nice break.

Troubled

So I'm wondering why so many people are telling me that I don't do my homework and that I need to study harder. What the heck is up with that? Why doesn't anyone think I get my homework done? Well, just to make it known to the world--I do my homework. I don't know where these crazy people are getting the idea that I don't. Anyway, I still haven't heard back from Utah State on being accepted into the actual university.
I'm leaving for Las Vegas on Tuesday! I'm going with the pep band to the MWC basketball tournament. It should be interesting...I really don't know anyone in the band. So I get to sleep with total strangers--how fun. I also won't have the internet for 4 days. We'll see how that goes over.
Tomorrow is St. Patrick's Day and I'm wondering if I have anything green to wear. I don't think so, but we'll see.

Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious

Well, this week has been just fantastic! I've had a lot of fun...staying up way past my bedtime :) It's been great fun! I've watched a few movies this week, too, which has been nice and relaxing. It's amazing what I can do now that I don't have to practice every extra minute I have during the day. It feels REALLY nice. Last night I watched Mary Poppins--I haven't seen that movie in about ten years...but I still know every line. I realized that I really had a pathetic life when I was young, and my form of entertainment was learning the song supercalifragilisticexpialidocious. I even know how to say it backwards. How sad. Oh well! Tonight I watched the first Harry Potter movie (which was particularly hilarious because of how young everybody was and what horrible actors they were). It's been a while since I've seen that one, too. I also watched Phantom of the Opera, and it started itself over, so right now it's playing again. I'm not exactly sure how that happened. This whole week I've felt really sick. I'm not sure what it is, but it's not fun. I've been laying on the couch ever since I got home moaning in pain because I feel like I'm going to throw up. I'm always hungry, but every time I eat, I get sick. I'm a little confused. I don't know what's going on. I hope I'm better by next week so that I can enjoy my time in Las Vegas!! I'm excited to go, but I don't know anyone else in the band, so that should be interesting. I hope they don't leave me behind, because Las Vegas is one scary place. That should be interesting! Well, I must be getting back to Phantom of the Opera.

Starting Out

Did I just jump on the bandwagon? I believe I did. It seems like the thing to do these days. Tell everyone in the whole world all about your life. Yahoo. This should be fun! Well, to start off, I'm a freshman at Brigham Young University in Provo, UT. I might be transferring soon to Utah State University though so that I can pursue my preferred major which is flute performance (or music education with an emphasis in flute). College is really hard for me. High school was dumb, and college is even more dumb. Oh well. At least at BYU, all of the professors think that you're Einstein or something, but in reality, I'm an average Joe who's good at music and nothing else. I'm not exactly sure how I got into BYU. Really, I don't know how, but it's pretty much killing me. This month has been pretty crazy, even though it's only...the 4th! I've already had 2 papers due and a test. Dad came to visit me and Tanille last night. That was fun...to actually eat real food. It was amazing! Life is just spiffy right now, even though I have at least one mental breakdown a day.
